Problem

I installed jEdit on Windows 7 and it is trying to save backups of my untitled files to C:\Program Files\jEdit. I get an error that reads:

Cannot save: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Program Files\jEdit\# Untitled-1#

Solution

It’s a known issue and a defect is filed.

Notes

Set JAVA_HOME is set.
